Deakin University in Victoria has announced the establishment of a new research center in Warrnambool in the southwest of the state. The center will develop hydrogen fuel cells that can work in conjunction with electric vehicle technology to create clean, quiet The truck without having to charge it frequently.

Deakin University announced this week that the new hydrogen conversion center will be established on its Warrnambool campus, which is the first step in the establishment of a $ 20 million HyceL Warrnambool research and industrial test site.

The new hydrogen conversion center is partly funded by the federal government with a $ 2 million grant to support research and will test how hydrogen fuel cells work in conjunction with electric vehicle technology.

Hope to create an electric truck that can generate power while driving, so as to avoid the need to stop and charge the battery repeatedly.

Professor Iain Martin, Vice President of Deakin University, said: "The center will work with the industry to use Deakin University's world-leading capabilities to solve our most difficult transportation problem: how to fuel the world's trucking industry in a low-carbon future.

"Truck freight continues to grow here and overseas, and trucks are continuing to travel with greater load; all major challenges.

The center confirmed Deakin ’s commitment to Warrnambool campus and the wider area. When the HyceL Warrnambool project is fully established, it will create up to 200 full-time jobs. "

First, the new hydrogen transition center will support up to 12 jobs.

The federal government ’s education grant was announced by the Minister of Education, Mr. Dan Dehan, at the Warrnambool campus in Deakin.

Professor Martin said: "The federal government's investment will enable our researchers to partner with Kenworth, Australia's leading truck manufacturer, and industry leaders in the distribution of hydrogen fuel cells, electric vehicles and natural gas."

"If successful, these enhanced technologies can be used for the Kenworth trucks produced here in Australia, as well as the technology produced internationally by Kenworth's parent company PACCAR (Fortune 500).

The technology can also be applied to other heavy vehicles, such as buses, including vehicles operated by Warrnambool Bus Line Company. "

Deakin University hopes that the development of the new hydrogen conversion center will enable Warrnambool and the larger southwestern region to enter the global billion-dollar hydrogen market and help the region become an emerging renewable energy hotspot.

This move also fully reflects the ambition of Warrnambool City Council to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

The Southwest region is already home to one of Victoria ’s largest wind farms. Its 336 MW Dundonal Wind Farm is located northeast of Mortlake, Victoria, close to Warrnambool. The area will be constructed After the start of operations began in late 2020 earlier this year.

The Xunda Liquid Adhesive is recommended to use only Xunda coating systems. The liquid adhesive systems consist of butyl based polymeric resins dissolved in an organic solvent system.

The liquid adhesive provided high cohesive between pipe surface and the coating system.

It can be used by hand brush or machine spray application.

We also provide the solid primer ,the solid primer should dissolved in an organic solvent and stirred before application.
