The two standards of the mahogany industry will be formally implemented in November

The "Redwood Commercial Name" (SB/T10758-2012) and the "Redwood Product Grade" (SB/T10759-2012) drafted by the Redwood Professional Committee of the China Timber and Wood Products Distribution Association were awarded by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China in 2012. On August 1st of this year, the Ministry of Commerce announced the 47th of 2012 and will formally implement it on November 1, 2012.

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Commerce's Circular on the First Batch of Domestic Trade Industry Standard Project Plans for 2010 (Commercial Offices and Communications [2010] No. 377), the mahogany professional committee is responsible for the “Hongmu Commercial Name” and “Redwood "Product Grade" drafting of these two standards. After going through the stages of drafting, completing the consultation draft, soliciting opinions, and submitting the draft for review, the Ministry of Commerce organized an expert review meeting in Beijing on May 5, 2012. The experts present proposed amendments to the draft for review. And unanimously approved the review of the two standards for review. The drafting group revised and improved the standard according to expert opinion and submitted a draft for approval, which was reported to the Ministry of Commerce according to relevant procedures.

On August 1, 2012, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China officially issued two industry standards: "Hongmu Commercial Name" (SB/T10758-2012) and "Redwood Product Grade" (SB/T10759-2012). These two standards will Formally implemented on November 1, 2012. The promulgation and implementation of the two standards, Redwood Commercial Name (SB/T10758-2012) and Redwood Product Grade (SB/T10759-2012), is a major event in the Redwood industry. Standard implementation can strengthen the standard management of the mahogany industry, establish a system corresponding to the foreign mahogany import and export system, promote mahogany culture, avoid disputes and disputes caused by the confusion of mahogany commercial names, and make the mahogany industry in China develop healthily and steadily. Effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of producers and consumers.

The implementation of the "Redwood Products Grade" (SB/T10759-2012) standard will promote the scientific management of Redwood enterprises, save Redwood resources, promote the technological and technological innovation of redwood products, promote industrial upgrading, and avoid the chaotic status of market mahogany products, and protect The legitimate rights and interests of producers and consumers.

In order to enable the above two new standards to be implemented in a timely and accurate manner, the Redwood Professional Committee of the China Wood and Wood Products Distribution Association will hold two standard publicity sessions.
