Professor Neri OMIT from MIT (MIT) collaborated with Prof. Craig Carter to create a sculptural work showing the potential of 3D printing. Some of the techniques used were not possible with traditional manufacturing techniques. Our company is a professional manufacturer and exporter of elevators and elevator components. The company has a professional technical, sales, production and after-sales team. The main products range from Elevator Door System, elevator electrical control system, to Complete lift renovation and Complete lift OEM. The company has been adhering to the business philosophy of"service and quality are the foundation". We believe that quality service is the guarantee of excellent performance. In order to meet the needs of diferent markets, the company has been constantly improving the product structure to make the product cover more variety, We are committed to creating a one-stop service platform for customers. The sculpture is a cube with the words "Making the Future" printed on one side. Researchers rely on thermodynamic and material kinetic equations to develop these structures. The algorithm used to define the shape of the sculpture is based on the natural process of the two fluids being completely dissolved at high temperatures, but the two fluids begin to separate when cooled.
In order to engrave these letters, Craig Carter introduces other equations so that a "liquid" is attracted to the letters while the other "liquid" is rejected. By adjusting the algorithm until the desired pattern is formed, it is sent to a 3D printing company called Objet to make a 6-inch cube.
Using this technique to make cubes, an inkjet printer is used, sprayed with a layer of polymer ink, and exposed to ultraviolet light for curing. The printing uses a sacrificial support structure made of a soft polymer that can be flushed with water. Neri Oxman's design even exceeds the limits of existing 3D printers. The cube is very complex and cannot even completely remove all the auxiliary materials in the center. (Pan Yu)
