The undergraduate innovation team under the guidance of Professor Guo Fei from the School of Energy and Power Engineering of Dalian University of Technology conducted a study on "Anti-Smashing Application of Electrospun Fiber Membrane". The project was recently rated as a national-level outstanding achievement. It is understood that the project will use electrospinning technology prepared by the polyacrylonitrile fiber membrane and polyvinylidene fluoride fiber membrane made of anti-mite mask filter, to improve the anti-fog effect of the mask, and improve the use of comfort. After testing, an anti-fog mask made of electrostatically-spun fiber membranes has a filtration efficiency of nearly 100% for PM2.5 and 99% for air-suspended particles with a diameter of 0.3 microns. However, such high filtration efficiency does not increase the burden on the breath. The pressure drop of a mask with this type of filter element is smaller than the respiratory resistance of a person and does not affect the smoothness of breathing. Moreover, due to the high porosity of the electrospun fiber membrane, exhaled air does not accumulate in the mask for a long time, improving the comfort of use. At the same time, the new masks have a longer service life than existing masks on the market. According to the use of 2 hours per day, it can be used continuously for 15 days, which has great market potential.
