The PTZ is a device that carries the camera in both horizontal and vertical directions. Mounting the camera on the PTZ enables the camera to take pictures from multiple angles.
PTZ mounts two motors. One of the two motors is responsible for horizontal rotation and the other is for vertical rotation. The horizontal rotation angle is generally 350 degrees. Vertical rotation is 45 degrees, 35 degrees, 75 degrees and so on. The horizontal and vertical rotation angle can be adjusted by the limit switch.
The classification of PTZ is roughly as follows:
1 Indoor PTZ and Outdoor PTZ The indoor PTZ has a low load bearing and no rain protection device. The outdoor cloud platform is heavy and rainproof. Some high-end outdoor PTZs have anti-freezing and heating devices in addition to rain-proof devices.
2 Load-bearing To accommodate the installation of different network cameras and protective covers, the load-bearing capacity of PTZ should be different. The appropriate load-bearing gimbal should be selected according to the total weight of the selected network camera and protective cover. The weight of the indoor PTZ is smaller, and the PTZ is also smaller in volume and weight. The outdoor pan/tilt heads must have a larger weight bearing because they must install a webcam with a protective cover (usually a weatherproof cover) on top of it. Its volume and weight are also greater.
At present, the weight of the indoor PTZ is about 1. 5kg~7kg, and the weight of the outdoor PTZ is about 7kg~50kg. There are also PTZs that are miniature PTZs, such as PTZs that are mounted with a camera in a dome or weather hood.
3 The general pan-tilt control method belongs to the wired-controlled electric pan/tilt head. There are five input terminals for the control line, one of which is the common terminal of the power supply, and the other four are divided into the upper, lower, left, and right control terminals. If one end of the power supply is connected to the common terminal, and the other end of the power supply is connected to “upâ€, the pan/tilt drive the camera head upwards, and so on.
There are control circuits such as relays inside the PTZ. Such PTZs often have six control inputs. One is the public end of the power supply, the other four are the upper, lower, left, and right ends, and the other is the autorotating end. When one end of the power supply is connected to the common terminal, and the other end of the power supply is connected to the "automatic" terminal, the pan/tilt head will automatically rotate the upper, lower, left and right sides with the camera head at a certain rotation speed.
In terms of power supply voltage, there are two types of AC 24V and 220V. The power consumption of the PTZ is generally low in power consumption with a small load bearing capacity and large power consumption.
At present, there are small indoor PTZs with a DC 6V power supply, batteries can be installed inside, and infrared remote controls can be used for remote control. At present, most PTZs still use wired remote control. When the installation position of the PTZ is close to the control center and the number is not large, the control signal is generally output directly from the console. When the installation position of the PTZ is far from the control center and the number is large, the encoded control signal is often transmitted through the bus and the control signal is decoded by the terminal decoder to control the rotation of the PTZ.
When selecting a PTZ, it is best to use a PTZ with a control input and a network video input/output port on the fixed position of the PTZ, and between the fixed part and the rotating part (ie, between the camera and the camera). Camera and lens control input lines and video output lines are formed with a soft spiral. After such a PTZ is installed and used, it will not be damaged due to long-term use. This is especially true for outdoor use PTZs.
PTZ camera, from the word surface means a camera with a PTZ.
