Overview
In the past few years, the construction of thermal power plants has made great progress. At present, the construction of thermal power plants is still in a booming stage in the world, especially in India and Africa. In China, thermal power plants still play a pivotal role in the national economy. At the same time, improving the production efficiency of thermal power plants and reducing pollution emissions in existing equipment is also a problem that has been paid close attention to in the operation of power plants in recent years. In such an application environment, as an important component in each device, the correct selection and use of bearing products will also play an important role in energy saving and emission reduction and improving equipment use efficiency. The following takes the grinding roller bearing of the coal mill as an example to specifically introduce how to reduce the downtime and improve the production efficiency through the correct use of the bearing.
Anti-wear particle requirements and countermeasures for grinding roller bearings of coal mill
As we all know, thermal power industry equipment is one of the most challenging applications for bearings. As a key auxiliary machine of thermal power plants, in the key parts such as grinding rolls, the bearings must be operated under the harsh environment of high dust pollution and low lubrication caused by low speed. In this case, the performance and stability of the bearing is related to the stable operation of the entire equipment. Maximizing the service life of the bearing means reducing downtime, thereby improving the performance of the equipment and avoiding the waste of manpower and material resources caused by unnecessary downtime.
The grinding roller part is located entirely in the coal mill chamber and is surrounded by high temperature coal powder under working conditions. The pulverized coal particles are very fine. If the seal of the grinding roller is slightly abnormal, it is easy to enter the inside of the bearing grinding roller through a bad seal. Since the grinding roller of the coal mill is mostly immersed in oil, the lubricating oil is replaced once in a while. Once the pulverized coal enters the inside of the grinding roll, it will stay inside the grinding roll for a long period of time, becoming an abrasive grain that causes additional wear to the raceway and rolling elements of the bearing. The presence of such abrasive particles can easily damage the lubricating oil film which is inherently weak in the bearing, greatly aggravating the wear of the bearing surfaces of the bearing, and causing the bearing to be scrapped in advance. Figure 1 shows an example of bearing damage caused by abrasive wear. It can be seen that after the bearing is damaged due to the seal, the abrasive grains enter the bearing cavity, the entire bearing raceway is polished and worn by the abrasive grains, and the ribs and the retainer of the bearing are severely worn, which causes the bearing to be disintegrated in a short time.
