Laying method

Dry shop

In theory, the floor tile should adopt the dry-laid method to remove the floating sand and debris after the base layer is watered. Wipe the bonding layer, use one to three dry cement mortar, level the paving according to the horizontal line, put the brick on the mortar and use the rubber hammer to tap the ground, remove the floor brick and pour the cement slurry, and then level the floor bricks. . The dry-laying method effectively avoids the occurrence of bubbles and hollow drums caused by the floor tiles during the paving process. However, because the floor brick dry-laying method is relatively labor-intensive and technically high, the general dry-shop method is better than wet-laying. The cost of the law is much higher.

Wet shop

It is a method of floor tile paving commonly used by many home improvement owners. The difference between this process and the dry shop method is to replace one to three dry cement mortar with ordinary water and cement mortar. The tile floor with wet-laid method may produce empty drums and air bubbles, which affect the service life of the floor tiles. However, due to the simple operation and low price of the wet-laying method, many families still use the wet-laid method to lay the ground.

3. The quality of the acceptance of the laying of the floor tiles shall be carried out from the following aspects:

(1) Whether the floor tiles are evenly spaced (the seam is usually 1mm).

(2) Whether the gap is straight and there is no staggering.

(3) The floor tiles are empty and fall off.

(4) The floor tiles are flat.

Precautions

1. The laying temperature of the floor tiles should preferably be higher than 10 °C. Before laying, the floor tiles should be facing down and placed on the construction site for more than 24 hours to make the floor tiles the same temperature as the room temperature. The room temperature should be kept as constant as possible during the laying process.

2, in addition to the square, the floor tiles can also be freely cut into triangles, rectangles and other shapes.

3. Before laying, first draw a cross-shaped reference line on the ground. The method is: measure the size of the ground, draw a vertical or horizontal line in the center of the ground, and then make a vertical line through the center of the line. When the floor tiles are slanted, the crosshairs should be drawn at an angle of 45° to the original baseline. For best results, the floor tiles at the edge should be at least half of the floor tiles. If less than half, the crosshairs can be translated by 1/2 floor tile width. The laying of the floor tiles should extend from the center of the ground to the surroundings.
