Ecuador’s power company has implemented a feed-in tariff policy for renewable energy in the country, which covers Ecuador’s mainland and the Galapagos Islands.

In terms of photovoltaics, Ecuador has set the on-grid tariff for photovoltaic systems to 15 years and the subsidy limit to 0.292 euros ($0.4003)/kWh. Photovoltaic projects in the Galapagos Islands have a subsidy of 0.322 euros ($0.4403) per kilowatt-hour and the duration is also 15 years. So far, there is no difference in the amount of subsidies for projects of different sizes.
