1. Check cylinder, piston assembly wear
The cylinder body and the cylinder head and the piston together form a space for compression and combustion expansion of the combustible mixture. When the vehicle is used for a long time, the piston ring, the piston skirt and the cylinder wall repeatedly rub against each other, and the cylinder and the piston assembly are worn and the wear is serious. As a result, the sealing performance is degraded, the starting of the vehicle is difficult, and the power is reduced. The following discusses the troubleshooting of wear of the cylinder and piston assembly of a two-stroke engine and a four-stroke engine.
Two-stroke engine: Remove the exhaust pipe. Slowly press the start lever with your left hand to rotate the crankshaft so that the second piston ring or the piston skirt blocks the cylinder exhaust port. Looking from the cylinder exhaust port inward, if you can see the traces of black gas on the second ring and the skirt of the piston, it indicates that the cylinder and the piston assembly have worn out. Four-stroke engine: 1) Start cold engine idling and test the exhaust temperature. The hand feels exhaust temperature near the tail of the exhaust pipe. If the temperature of the exhaust gas is high, it indicates that the cylinder and piston components are worn and there is helium; the cylinder and piston components are normally used. 2) Start the engine and insert the rubber ventilation hose installed on the crankcase into the water. If there are large bubbles in the water, it indicates that the cylinder and the piston assembly have serious wear, poor sealing performance, and the cylinder pressure drops.
