"The key technologies and applications of high-concentration anaerobic fermentation of mixed raw materials for biogas production"

Accreditation committee experts visit the laboratory

On April 28th, organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the Guangzhou Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences presided over the scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting of the project “Key Materials Technology and Application of Biofuels Prepared by High Concentration Anaerobic Fermentation of Mixed Raw Materials” undertaken by Guangzhou Energy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The appraisal committee consists of seven experts from universities and research institutes across the country. Professor Liu Yingshu serves as director of the appraisal committee, Professor Dong Renjie and researcher Ruan Chaoping serve as deputy directors. Deputy Director Zhou Xiaoyun of the Guangzhou Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wu Chuangzhi, Director of the Guangzhou Energy Institute, Jiang Yang, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department, and project team members attended the appraisal meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Xiaoyun.

The appraisal committee heard the project work summary and research report of the project leader Yuan Zhenhong, examined the site, and conducted questions and discussions.

The expert group unanimously considered that the project submission materials were complete and met the requirements for identification. The anaerobic fermentation basic database and raw material compatibility equations for more than 140 kinds of raw materials were constructed, and the straw pretreatment technology, domestic waste water selection technology and high-concentration anaerobic fermentation of mixed raw materials were invented. Technology, developed key equipment such as household garbage water selection equipment, high-concentration raw material feeding device and high-concentration mixed raw material anaerobic reactor, developed a high-concentration anaerobic fermentation process of mixed raw materials, and achieved high-efficiency, continuous and stable operation, and significantly improved Biogas production rate of mixed raw materials; construction of a high-concentration continuous fermentation demonstration project with a scale of 500m3 of domestic waste water selected for enrichment of fermentation raw materials and promotion and application.

The project has obvious innovations in raw material pretreatment, nutritional compatibility and high-anaerobic fermentation to prepare biogas process and equipment. It has reached the international advanced level, passed the results appraisal, and proposed to further increase technology promotion and application.
