Electrostatic discharge tester series products meet the requirements of the latest IEC61000-4-2 and GB/T17626.2 standards, and provide comprehensive and complete solutions for assessing the immunity performance of electrical and electronic equipment subjected to electrostatic discharge.
Operating procedures
1. Connect the instrument to external power via the "POWER IN" (rear panel (1)) socket on the rear panel.
2. Insert the discharge gun into the "OUTPUT" jack (front panel (15)), taking care that the slot of the discharge gun socket is in the upward direction. Then tighten the connection sleeve clockwise.
3, the choice is air discharge or contact discharge. If contact discharge test is to be used, use tapered tip discharge electrodes. If air gap discharge test is to be done, use spherical discharge electrodes. Note that when replacing discharge electrodes and inserting discharge guns, the equipment must be turned off in case of power failure. To avoid electric shock.
4. After booting, select the interface to enter: IEC level interface/user setting interface/voltage increasing interface/host trigger interface. Under the corresponding interface, set the discharge mode according to the selected discharge electrode, and then set the discharge mode. It is required to set the voltage, the number of discharges, and the interval between discharges.
5. After the parameters are set, press the START key, the high voltage indicator lights up, and the bottom of the LCD shows “HV-ONâ€. At this time, the trigger above the gun will trigger the discharge action. Under the contact discharge, the trigger is held, the gun will be discharged in accordance with the set interval time. Under the air discharge, the trigger will be triggered once and the gun will be discharged once. If the trigger is not released, the gun will not continue to discharge. If the host triggers the interface, the host controls the discharge. When discharging to the set number of times, the device will automatically stop the discharge and enter the standby state. If you want to stop the operation in the middle of the test, just press the STOP key, the device will enter the standby state.
6. If it is a contact discharge, make sure that the discharge gun is actually in contact with the test object, and keep the discharge position in motion. If it is an air discharge, hold the trigger by hand and slowly move the discharge gun close to the sample (note: cannot be touched). Until the discharge occurs, the gun body is then released and the trigger is released. At the time interval required by the test, the trigger is again pulled and the discharge gun is moved closer to the test object until another discharge occurs. Electrostatic guns should always remain vertical to the product during static discharge tests.
7. Indirect discharge of the tested device: Electrostatic discharge of the object in the vicinity of the device under test can be simulated by the contact discharge of the tester to the coupling plate. Each side of the coupling plate and the device under test (including the front, back, left, right and bottom, a total of five sides) are placed in parallel, with an interval of 0.1m. Discharge at least 10 times with the most sensitive polarity on each side. In addition, the specified vertical coupling plate size is 0.5×0.5m2
8. After the test is completed, the device is in the "STOP" state and the high-voltage indicator is off. Press the "POWER" switch to turn off the power of the device. To remove the discharge gun, be sure to remove it counterclockwise after turning off the power supply for 2 minutes to ensure safety.
9. For different test products, specific operation procedures and parameter requirements, please set operation according to the latest test requirements of State Grid.
Precautions
1. Do not use this instrument in high humidity situations.
2. The FG terminal of the instrument must be well grounded.
3. After the power is applied, do not touch the electrodes of the discharge gun with your hands to prevent electric shock.
4. The device must be in the STOP state before shutting it down to shut off the power of the host. Otherwise, a sudden change in voltage at shutdown can damage the high voltage power supply.
5. After the instrument is turned off, the discharge gun should not be immediately disassembled from the main unit to prevent electric shock.
6. Air gap discharge operation sequence: After setting the air discharge voltage, hold the trigger of the electrostatic gun and slowly move the tip of the gun close to the test object. After discharge, leave the gun head away from the test object, and repeat the operation until the number of discharge reaches the test requirement. .
